Axis Pank in Hudson Knit in Desert Rose
Axis Tank by Sophie Hines
This pattern by Sophie Hines is one of my absolute favorite and is a wardrobe staple. Depending on the fabric you use, it can be made into a workout top or a regular tank top.
For this top, I chose to make the top longer and I increased the length of the top by 3″ and omitted the bottom band.
I love how this turned out. It is a pretty simple pattern and can be sewn up with just different zig zag stitches in a regular sewing machine.
The Fabric
The fabric is a n Hudson jersey that is perfectly opaque. It has about 40-50% stretch. After sewing this tank, I would size up once the next time I sew this up in a similar fabric.
The fabric comes in so many different colors. Check the shop to see all them all. The colors are saturated and the fabric washes well. The color I used is Desert rose is more pink than what is on the website, so be aware that there may be some differences. The fabric is 58-60″ wide and about 200gsm/5.9oz in weight per sq. yard, which make this fabric close to a medium weigh tin my opinion. It is perfect for most garments.
I absolutely love this colour and how it pairs with a lot of clothing in my wardrobe. I highly recommend you try out this fabric and this pattern.
